Hayden Panettiere’s death rocks music world

The tragic death of Hayden Panettiere on August 16 following a drug overdose leading to cardiac arrest has been referred to as an ‘enormous loss to popular music’.
Panettiere first came to prominence as a television actress in 2013. Her role as Maya Hart in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World thrust the petite, blonde 1.52cm actress into the public consciousness with her cute, bubbly persona.
Her pivot into the music industry in 2015 with the release of her debut studio album Eyes Wide Open showed fans that she was more than just a pretty face with acting chops. Panettiere demonstrated her ability to sing and write songs too.
Panettiere still continued to progress her acting career, appearing in the 2018 film adaptation of The Hate You Give.
